So, later today, I will be boarding a flight to Vancouver, British Columbia Canada, where I will be attending the Northern Voice conference. For bloggers, and really any industry that has conferences, attending can mean creating issues with diet, and exercise.
I am hoping to stay on track as much as possible and recount my successes and failures on this site. Hopefully, I can come up with some great advice that will help other people that attend conferences, as I know how difficult it can be to eat, sleep, drink and exercise while away from home.
I will be staying at a hotel that does have a fitness centre, but how often will I be at the hotel?
Last year, when I attended this conference, I made sure to use as much public transit as I could. Despite it being a system I wasn’t familiar with, I was able to get to where I needed to go, but public transit means having to walk. I hope to use my legs as much as possible, and walk whenever I can, thus negating some of the extra calories I am sure to take in at the festivities related to the event.
While it can be tiring to walk after a full day of sessions, it can also be refreshing, especially in British Columbia. Hopefully, the weather is relatively nice this year. Last year, it was very rainy.
